Autodesk Inventor Competition II The purpose of this competition is to evaluate the student's ability, skill and knowledge of mechanical design using Autodesk Inventor. The Breaking Grounds competition will deal with the creation of 3D parametric models and apply simple animation to demonstrate motion.

Competition Theme: Breaking Grounds. Contestants are to complete a design of a household item that they see in use everyday. The names STUDICA.COM and Autodesk Inventor must appear in a prominent manner in the submitted competition file. File size should not exceed 10MB.

Each month (from September to April), one contestant who has uploaded their entry and followed the competition theme, will be randomly drawn to be awarded an electronic download of Serious Magic Vlog It! and one copy of Cadsoft Envisioneer.

The final Breaking Grounds competition files must adhere to the following screen size constraints:

(a) Animation Solutions are to be 640 by 480 Pixel Walkthrough. Alternatively, files may be saved as Acrobat 3D PDF files and uploaded. (Download Acrobat 3D)

(b) 3D Design Web Format DWF files must be a 1024 by 768 Pixel size. Alternatively, files may be saved as Acrobat 3D PDF files and uploaded. (Download Acrobat 3D)

(c) 2D Design Web Format DWF files must be a 1024 by 768 Pixel size and competitors submitting 2D Design Web Format DWF files must identify the sequence they want these files to appear in the StudicaSkills.com Competition Gallery. Response: You can use any version of the software to enter as long as it is legally owned by either the student or the school. Question Two: Can I use a Trial Version of the software to enter? Response: Yes, as long as it will save to the file types that we are requesting. Question Three: Can I work with a partner(s) on this competition? Response: Yes, you can work with a maximum of 5 students in a group, however the individual prize must be shared.
